The problem

Find the real rental market

The target companies were party, inflatable, tent, table-and-chair, and event-rental operators. Many could be found locally, but standard business databases didn’t categorize them consistently.

Why standard data fell short

  • Relevant rental businesses didn’t map to one standard industry category.
  • Qualification depended on what each business offered and how it handled online booking or rental management.
  • What each website showed had to be sorted into categories: competitor software, other software, a manual process or no software, or existing customer.

What we built

Discover, classify, then route

  1. DiscoverUse Google Maps and niche rental keywords to find operators.Find
  2. ResearchRead websites for rental offerings and booking signals.Find
  3. ClassifyIdentify competitor software, other software, a manual process or no software, or existing-customer status.Qualify
  4. QualifyDecide which businesses belong in the target market.Qualify
  5. RouteCarry the classification, and the reason for it, into the right outreach.Launch

Built with Google Maps discovery, niche keyword research, website research, and software-use classification. The right-hand labels are the five system stages.

Result

A market built from what we observed

  • Discovery no longer depended on how a sales database categorizes businesses.
  • Website research became part of classification and qualification.
  • Businesses went to different outreach based on the rental software and booking signals we observed.
When database categories don’t match the real market, what you can observe beats a more complicated filter.
